2025-2026 T-SPLOST/LMIG/LRA PROJECT

Sealed Bids: The Sumter County Board of Commissioners will accept sealed bids for
the construction of the work entitled "2025-2026 T-SPLOST/LMIG/LRA PROJECT"
until 2:00 P.M. EST on Friday, May 22, 2026, at the Sumter County Courthouse, 500
West Lamar Street, Suite 100, Americus, Georgia 31709, at which time and place all
bids will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time
for receipt of bids for a period of 60 calendar days.

Sealed envelopes must be clearly marked "BID PROPOSAL FOR 2025-2026 T-
SPLOST/LMIG/LRA PROJECT - RFP# 2026-006" and can be delivered in-person, by
mail or by private courier. Sumter County is not responsible for the submittal of the bids.
Bids received after 2:00 P.M. EST on Friday, May 22, 2026, will not be considered and
will be rejected.

Description: The work to be performed shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials
and equipment necessary to construct the projects entitled 2025-2026 T-
SPLOST/LMIG/LRA PROJECT. The Work consists of furnishing of all necessary
machinery, equipment, tools, labor, and other construction means, and all materials
required to perform Widening, Plant Mix leveling, Resurfacing, and striping on various
county roads in Sumter County as shown in the Project Documents. A Mandatory Pre-
Bid Meeting will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Sumter County
Courthouse (500 W. Lamar Street, Suite 100, Americus, GA).

The work shall be fully completed within one hundred and fifty (150) consecutive
calendar days from the date that the Notice to Proceed is given. Payment will be made
within thirty (30) days after receipt of each Application for Payment as further outlined in
the Project Documents. Questions need to be directed ONLY by e-mail to Jim Littlefield,

Plans and Specifications: Project Documents with specifications for bidding purposes
can be obtained at the Sumter County Board of Commissioners' Office at 500 West
Lamar Street, Suite 100, Americus, GA 31709 or by an email request to Jim Littlefield,
Public Works Director, (jlittlefield@sumtercountyga.us).

Bonds: Alll bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than
ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract,
will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount

of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the
Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing, latest edition.

Reservations: Sumter County reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any and all
lawful reasons, including without limitation, the right to reject any and all non-
conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids and to reject the bid of any
bidder whom Sumter County believes would not be in the best interest of the project to
make an award to that bidder whether because the bid is not responsive, the bidder is
unqualified, or of doubtful financial ability, or fails to meet any other pertinent standard
or criteria.
