Description


Sealed BIDS for the 2026 Meriwether County LMIG Resurfacing Project will be received by Meriwether County at the Meriwether County Board of Commissioners Office located at 17234 Roosevelt Highway, Building B, Greenville GA 30222 until 11:00 AM, Local Time on May 21, 2026, and then at said office will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project includes the resurfacing and associated work of Alvaton Road from Hwy 85 to 2 miles west, Coleman Creek Circle, and C.H. King Road from Hwy 109 to Gravel ¿ the total project mileage is approximately 6.2 miles. All roads will receive asphalt patching as required, leveling/ crack relief layer, and asphalt as final surface, striping, and shoulder building.

The CONTRACT DOCUMENTS may be examined at the following locations:
Meriwether County Board of Commissioners at 17234 Roosevelt Highway, Building B, Greenville GA 30222.

A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 11:00 AM on May 7, 2026, at the Board of Commissioners Office located 17234 Roosevelt Highway, Building B, Greenville GA 30222. Project scheduling, coordination requirements, and questions of interpretation will be addressed at this time.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount, will be required of the successful bidder. Bonds must be written by an acceptable Surety Company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the Department of the Treasury, Circular 570, latest edition.

NOTE: Contractor and all subcontractors must obtain a business license in Georgia, be fully insured, and be a Licensed Contractor in the State of Georgia.
