An expansion of the Noonday Creek Water Reclamation Facility to 20 MGD was completed in approximately 2005. The project included the addition of an alkalinity control system (Alka-Pro) which was housed in a prefabricated building, along with associated electrical and communications components. This building is commonly referred to as the Alka-Pro Building.
The existing Alka-Pro Building was manufactured by Kenco Plastics Company, Inc., with the following nameplate information:
Ken-Shelter, Model No. 10-10-8’6, Serial No. 6437
Address: State Highway 21, Necedah, WI 54646.
Existing Conditions
The Alka-Pro Building is situated on a concrete slab, which will remain. The Alka-Pro Building has deteriorated beyond its useful life, particularly the roof.
The building houses, generally, the following components:
Process and control equipment associated with alkalinity control for the aeration basins
An I/O and Communications Panel
A fiber optic panel
A new gate actuator breaker panel
Electrical systems (e.g. electrical disconnect switch, panel, and transformer; light and switch; electrical outlets; A/C unit)
Associated appurtenances, e.g. conduit, wiring, and tubing
Pictures and sketches of the equipment and layout are included as Attachments.
