1. PURPOSE
A sheville City Schools invites q ualified and experienced c ontractors to submit p roposals for interior p ainting
p rojectatL ucySH erringElementary,locatedat9 8S ulphurS pringsR d,Asheville,N C2 8806,withinA sheville
City Schools (“ACS”), as per the specifications described herein.
2 . SCOPE OF WORK
A campus m ap of Lucy S Herring E lementary is added as Exhibit B to this s olicitation. T he P roposer is
responsible for measuring actual square footage.
Theselectedcontractorwillb eresponsiblefortheinteriorpaintingofthes chool.T hisprojectisinteriorpainting
o nly.
Scope of work applies to the following areas:
● Classrooms
● H allways
● Common Areas
● G ymnasium
● C afeteria
● K itchen
● Restrooms
● C losets
● Stairwells
● Media Center
P reparation Work:
● Surface preparation, including scraping, sanding, and priming;
● P atching and repairing damaged surfaces; and
● Covering and protecting floors and other surfaces not to be painted.
P ainting Specifications:
● U se Sherwin Williams Pro Mar 200 semi-gloss on walls;
● Use Sherwin Williams Pro Industrial Waterborne Urethane on all metal surfaces;
● C olor will match what is currently at Lucy S Herring Elementary School; and
● One coat of paint to be applied.
The Proposer is responsible for measuring actual square footage. Please see Site Visit section.

5. E VALUATION
P roposals will be evaluated according to experience with s imilar p rojects, references, and cost. Award o fa
c ontracttoo neofferordoesn otm eanthattheotherp roposalslackedm erit,b utthat,a llfactorsc onsidered,the
s elected proposal was deemed most advantageous to ACS.
6. TIMELINE
W ork shall start on or approximately June 16, 2026 and shall be completed no later than August 10, 2026.
7 . S AFETY REGULATIONS
TheC ontractorshalladheretotherules,regulations,a ndinterpretationso fa lls tate,federal,andlocallawsthat
p ertain to w orkers and site safety. T his to include OSHA 1 910, G eneral C onstruction, o r those regulations
mandated by these specifications.
8 . C ONDITIONS
Each Proposer s hall fully a cquaint itself with conditions relating to the s cope and restrictions a ttending the
execution of the work u nder C ontract. P roposers shall thoroughly examine and b e familiar w ith the
S pecifications.
It is a lso expected that the Proposers w ill o btain information concerning the conditions atlocationsthatm ay
affectitswork.T hefailureo ro missionofa nyP roposertoreceiveorexaminea nyform,instrument,addendum
oro therd ocument,o rtoacquaintitselfwithexistingconditions,shallinnow ayrelieveitofanyo bligationsw ith
respect to its Proposal or to the Contract.

Cost information shall n ot b e deemed c onfidential. In s pite of w hat is labeled a s a trade secret, the
determination whether it is or not will be determined by North Carolina law.
