271649 - Weed Control/Fertilization - Training Center

The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) seeks a supplier to provide Weed Control/Fertilization spraying four (4) times a year during the allotted time to control weeds in grass, flower beds and landscaped areas.

The size of all the landscaped areas at the Annex (pine straw beds, rock beds and mulched beds) is approximately 18,000 square feet and the size of the lawn is approximately 80,000 feet.

Quotes should be submitted as per service amount.

Invoices should be submitted after each treatment, and payment is made in arrears.

Awarded vendor to supply all chemicals, materials and /or equipment needed to perform the above services.

Subcontracting of this service by awarded vendor is NOT allowed and will result in termination of the contract. The person(s) performing this service should be the owner or a legal employee of the awarded vendor.

Any damages to grounds, lawn, and/or building during the performance of these services will be solely the responsibility of the awarded vendor to correct.

Vendors MUST attach their license to spray chemicals in the State of Alabama with their submission.  Vendors that do not attach their license will not be considered.

In order to properly quote this service, a site visit is MANDATORY.

Please note that any quotes received from vendors that did not attend the site visit will NOT be considered.

Site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 9:00am.

There will be a sign in sheet for vendors.

Contract Period: Establish a twelve (12) month contract to coincide with fiscal year (10/1 thru 9/30) in the future renewal dates, with the option to renew up to five years.  The first year would be firm pricing.  At the time of renewal, there will be an opportunity for a price increase up to 5% for years 2, 3, 4, and 5, up until State bid limit, which must be substantiated by written documentation to ADPH, no later than sixty (60) days prior to renewal date.

ADPH reserves the right to not award based on budget restrictions.
