  • Summary The bidder shall furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, tools, equipment, and other means necessary or proper for performing and completing the work. The bidder shall be responsible for the cleaning up of the job site and shall repair or restore all structures and property that may be damaged or disturbed during performance of the work to the satisfaction of the Public Services Department.

The intent of this contract is to perform necessary tree planting and maintenance of those trees in specific areas of Kalamazoo Neighborhoods. This work must occur in specific disadvantaged census tracts. The purpose of this program is to protect the health and safety of the residents of The City of Kalamazoo.  The contract and work shall be carried out in conformance with the MDOT Standard Specifications for Construction, Ordinances of the City of Kalamazoo, and these detailed specifications in effect on the date of invitation for bids. The tree ordinance for the City of Kalamazoo has been attached for review.
