Description
The Association of Alberta Municipalities (ABmunis) is inviting qualified firms to submit proposals for external audit services. This engagement covers ABmunis and its related entities, including AMSC, AMSCIS, MUNIX, APEX, and AEOEPC.
Scope of Work includes:
- Annual audits of consolidated and non-consolidated financial statements
- Compliance audits for pension plans (LAPP and APEX)
- Specified procedures audits (e.g., AMP operating costs)
- Attendance at Audit and Finance Committee meetings and the ABmunis AGM
- Review of financial disclosures in the Annual Report
Key requirements:
- CPA Alberta registration and public accounting license
- Demonstrated experience auditing insurance and pension organizations
- Sufficient partner base to support in-house audit partner rotation over the contract term
