CITY OF ADAIRSVILLE
WATER PLANT BACKWASH PUMP
87 TWIN BRIDGES RD, ADAIRSVILLE, GA 30103
Sealed bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, skills, equipment, and miscellaneous items
necessary for the construction of the CITY OF ADAIRSVILLE WATER PLANT BACKWASH PUMP
located in Bartow County, Georgia will be received and publicly read aloud by the CITY OF
ADAIRSVILLE, herein referred to as the Owner, at Adairsville City Hall, Attn: Jordan Redd, 116
Public Square, Adairsville, GA 30103 handed to City Clerk, until:
Tuesday November 3, 2026, 10:00 A.M. Local time
The City Clerk will date and time stamp the bids received. Bids received after said time and date will not
be considered by Owner and will be returned unopened.
The project includes all material, labor, and related appurtenances for complete construction as indicated
on the Drawing and in these Contract Documents. The Work consists of the purchase and install of a
water plant backwash pump and includes the following:
The Project includes all material, labor, and related appurtenances for the purchase and installation
of a 75Hp Backwash Pump at the existing Water Plant for use as an additional Water Plant Backwash
Pump, providing redundancy at the facility. The Work also includes building a concrete pad for the
pump and motor (with appropriate anchoring/dowelling to the existing concrete floor); the provision,
install, and coordination of associated piping, fittings, and valves to connect to the existing Backwash
System; addition of a check valve on existing backwash line; electrical wiring from the motor to the
control panel (conduit pipe already in place); start up and testing of the system after installation;
training for system use; all material, labor, tools, equipment, and any other miscellaneous items
necessary for a complete, working, additional Backwash Pump at the Water Plant. SCADA system
integration will be coordinated by Owner with their existing system integrator and paid for through
the Allowance Item.

Bidders shall inform themselves concerning Georgia Laws and comply with same. NOTE: The
Contractors Affidavit for Electronic Verification of Work Authorization Programs form (E-Verify) shall
be executed and submitted as part of the bid package. Contractor's Bid will be considered non-
responsive without conformance to E-Verify requirements.
Questions about RFP:
All project inquiries regarding this RFP shall be made in writing to engineering@rindt.com or to David
Beno at dbeno@rindt.com no later than October 27, 2026 at 4:00 pm local time. All questions received
will be answered via an addendum.

The time allowed for Final Completion from the date of Notice to Proceed is 210 consecutive calendar
days (this time accounts for time required for manufacture of pump, which is estimated to be 24-26
weeks).
Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by
the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the
Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent (5%) of the total amount payable by the terms of the
Contract or, in lieu thereof, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or cash in equal amount.
The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds with the executed
Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to
the Agreement. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement.
Surety and insurance companies must be listed in the Federal Registry of Insurance Companies Circular
570, holding Certificates of Authority and Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds, be licensed by the
Georgia Insurance Department and the Georgia Secretary of State to do business in the State of Georgia.
All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the day of the Bid Opening, but Owner may,
in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.
Each bid must be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the Owner. Each sealed
envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as, "Adairsville Water Plant
Backwash Pump". If bid is forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be enclosed
in a separate mailing envelope to the attention of the City Clerk, at address previously given.
A non-mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 A.M. local time on October 16, 2026 at the
Existing Adairsville Water Plant (Project Site) located at 87 Twin Bridges Road, Adairsville, GA
30103.
The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive formalities, and to re-advertise.
