Summary Details
The Corporation of the District of North Vancouver (the Owner) invites tenders for ITT-085-24, Pipeline Bridge Structural Repair in Lynn Canyon Park.
The Contractor will be required to perform essential steel repairs for the Pipeline Bridge located in Lynn Canyon Park. This pedestrian bridge, built in 1993, spans 40m across Lynn Creek and is one of many park entrances into Lynn Canyon Park and Rice Lake. This 1.9m wide bridge is built overtop existing BC Hydro and Telus conduits, while upstream of the bridge you will find Metro Vancouver’s old pipe bridge.
The Scope of Work generally involves the following:

- Cleaning corrosion from lateral HSS members prior to L-Shape angle installation,
- Cleaning corrosion from diagonal HSS members at locations where they will be spliced,
- Splicing prefabricated diagonal HSS sections to replace deteriorated segments,
- Suppling and installing of temporary bridge bracing to help facilitate the work,
- Removing, disposing, and replacing timber bridge components (i.e. toe-runner and decking) to gain access to structural members, and help facilitate the work,
- Setup temporary construction fencing and signage,
