The work that needs to be procured entails replacing the current 1.5 MG Standpipe Welded Steel Water storage tank at the Waterbury Hitchcock Road tank site. A 0.75 MG capacity glassfused-to-steel (GFTS) composite elevated water storage tank will be installed at the City-owned parcel next to the existing tank. The new tank will offer a long-lasting, permanent water storage solution with the lowest total cost of ownership over time and the best resistance to operation in cold climates.
