INVITATION FOR BID (IFB)

FOR

GEOPHYSICAL INVESTIGATION – GROUND PENETRATING RADAR (GPR) SURVEY

IFB 27-0015

The City of Medford Historical Commission, in partnership with the Department of Planning, Development and

Sustainability (“PDS”) and the Trustees of Oak Grove Cemetery (“the Trustees”), seek proposals from qualified

individuals or firms to conduct a non-invasive geophysical investigation at two related locations: the former Cross

Street Cemetery, located in Medford Square at 0 Clippership Drive and the relocated Cross Street Cemetery within

Oak Grove Cemetery on Playstead Road in West Medford (“the Project”).

This project is being Electronically Bid (E-Bid). All bids shall be submitted online to www.BidNetDirect.com prior

to August 27, 2026, by 10:00 AM. Hard copy bids will not be accepted by BidNetDirect.com. You can register to

become a bidder (for free) online at www.BidNetDirect.com. For assistance, contact BidNetDirect.com at 800-835-

4603. There is a mandatory ZOOM meeting on August 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM.

Bid Documents will be available online beginning August 3, 2026, by 10:00 AM at

https://www.bidnetdirect.com/massachusetts/cityofmedford. All plan holders must have an active online account on

www.bidnetdirect.com to acquire documents, receive project notifications, and to submit bids, electronically.

Each Bid shall be submitted in accordance with the General Bid Information and shall be accompanied by a Bid

Security in form of a bid bond, or certified check, and/or a treasurers or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank

or trust company in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders to check

www.BidNetDirect.com for new information via any addenda to this solicitation. Any addenda issued will be emailed

to all plan holders registered with BidNetDirect. Questions are due August 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

The bidding and Award of this Contract will be under the provisions of M.G.L. Chapter 30B. The City of Medford

reserves the right to accept any bid, in whole or in part, to reject any/or all bids and to waive minor irregularities

and/or informalities as it deems to be in the best interest of the City.
