Invitation For Bid
GSA-043-26
Type II Ambulance
Questions and Concerns received from Monster Auto Corp dba: Guam Auto Spot on August 18, 2026.
1. We kindly request a two-week extension for the bid opening for GSA-043-26 Ambulance Type II.
Response: Please refer to amendment #1.
Questions and Concerns received from Triple J Enterprises, Inc. on August 18, 2026.
2. Due to the complexity of the specifications and requirements for highly specialized off-island built vehicles the amount of
time allowed for questions is insufficient. We request the time allowed for questions (8/20/26) be extended an additional
14 days to allow time for authorized ambulance manufactures to complete their reviews of the bid specifications and
submit concerns.
Response: Please refer to amendment #1.
Questions and Concerns received from JMI Healthcare Systems, Inc. on August 18, 2026.
3. For Engine/Fuel Type: Kindly confirm whether the required ambulance should be equipped with a gasoline or diesel
engine.
Response: Gasoline, please refer to amendment #1.
4. Drivetrain: Please confirm whether the required configuration is 4x2 or 4x4.
Response: 4 x 2, please refer to amendment #1.
5. Steering Configuration: Are you specifically requiring Left-Hand Drive (LHD) vehicles?
Response: Left-hand drive only.
6. Ambulance Standard: Would ambulances compliant with the U.S. KKK-A-1822 standard be acceptable as an equivalent to
the specified requirements?
Response: Yes, ambulances that meet the U.S. KKK-A-1822 standards are acceptable. Please refer to amendment #1.
7. Additionally, considering the detailed specifications and the time required to obtain and evaluate suitable manufacturer
proposals, we would like to respectfully request a two-week extension of the bid submission deadline. This additional
time would allow us to obtain complete and compliant proposals and submit the most suitable offer for your
consideration.
Response: Please refer to amendment #1.
Please Note: Follow up/Clarification to the Questions and Concerns responses dated 08/27/2026 must be submitted to the
General Services Agency via email to bids@gsadoa.guam.gov no later than 5pm, Friday, August 28, 2026.
