D2. SCOPE OF WORK

D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of demolition, alterations, and new

construction to the Old Exhibition (Old Ex) Arena located at 80 Sinclair Street.

D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:

(a) Demolition of the existing ±382m2 (4,110ft2) one-storey lobby portion of the building;

(b) Construction of a new one-storey ±786m2 (8,460ft2) building addition;

(c) Interior and exterior renovations to the existing ±2000m2 (21,530ft2) arena building built in

1962;

(d) Interior and exterior renovations to the existing attached ±92m2 (990ft2) Zamboni garage

built in 1988;

(e) Exterior site development:

(i) Construction of a new access road on the east side of the arena building;

(ii) Construction of a new site yard on the north side of the arena building;

(iii) Construction of a new plaza on the south side of the arena building;

(iv) Asphalt repairs on the south side of the arena building within the existing parking lot;

(v) Modifications / extension of the existing bus loop at Sargent Tommy Prince Place.
