Project Description: Sealed Bids for the Capitol Parking Facility Rehabilitation - Phase II in Pottsville will be received online via the PennBid Program by the Pottsville Parking Authority until 3:00 PM (prevailing time) until Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Bids will be publicly revealed online at http://PennBid.bonefire.com following the 3:00 PM deadline. The project will include the painting of all steel elements within the Capital Parking Facility. This includes, but is not limited to, structural steel beams and columns, piping, stair railings, drains, meter posts, window frames, doors and door frames, pipe hangers and beam clip angles. The items of work are identified more specifically in the project specifications. The entire project will be awarded to one (1) contractor.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Pottsville Parking Authority or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable surety in the amount of 10% of the Total Bid shall be submitted with each bid. The Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in and to accept or reject any and all bids. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days. Bidders must submit with their bids the anti-collusion affidavit contained in the contract documents. THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The CONTRACTOR must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap. PA Prevailing wages apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices and related matters.
This bid is for a public works contract and bidder is therefore subject to the provisions, duties, obligations and penalties of the Public Works Employment Verification Act, 43 P.S. 167.1-167.11. All submitted bids shall be accompanied with the Public Works Employment Verification Form. All questions are due by 4:00 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, via PennBid.
