The School District of Greenville County (District) invites interested firms to submit QUALIFICATIONS to provide Full-Service Landscape Architectural and Associated Support Services to transform existing Fifteen (15) Stadium Game Fields from Grass to Artificial (Synthetic) Turf in accordance with the Specifications and Terms and Conditions of this solicitation. Qualifications are due no later than 10:00 A.M. EDT on February 14th, 2025 through the Procurement Portal.
The intent is to award a Landscape Architect firm a contract at the end of February (or beginning of March) 2025. Construction is targeted to start in October/November of 2025 and be substantially complete by the Spring of 2028.
Construction of the artificial turf fields will be accomplished via the Design-Bid-Build (DBB) delivery method with pre-qualification.
The design process will include a turn-key product for complete construction drawings and specifications including surveys and all permitting required by local and state authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ). Along with designing the artificial turf installations, the successful firm shall also provide for the replacement of field goals and inside track field events as applicable.
GCS maintains a written design guide for its facilities and expects that the facility will be designed in accordance with all applicable codes and the guide while taking into consideration the unique educational athletic nature of the facility and best practices for sustainability.
Qualification Requirements
Qualifying firms must be licensed Landscape Architecture firms with an executed State of South Carolina Article of Incorporation.
The design firm must be headquartered in the State of South Carolina, preferably in the upstate.
The design firm must have successfully provided artificial (synthetic) turf design, permitting and/or owner representative services for a minimum of Ten (10) individual South Carolina High Schools.
