Notice of Intended Single / Sole Source Purchase - Extrication Tools

The description of services intended for purchase from a Single Source is posted in accordance with section 287.057(3)(c), Florida Statutes and will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days.

This is a Notice for a Sole Source Source designation for Clay County Board of County Commissioners.

Commodity or Service Required:

Genesis Rescue products: battery operated extrication tools for use by emergency responders for greater access to persons trapped in vehicles.

Items: Spreader with battery - fresh and saltwater rated, Smooth Cut Blades with battery - fresh and saltwater rated, SLI Ram with battery - fresh and saltwater rated, EForce Ram Kit with extension & V heads with case, Dual battery rapid charger (5YR warranty), High output battery (5YR warranty), to include freight charges.

Justification for Single/Sole Source Acquisition:

Rescue Systems Unlimited, LLC is the sole supplier / distributer for products manufactured by Genesis Rescue Systems. They are solely responsible for all sales, service and training in Florida, South Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. For standardization these are the same brand products currently utilized by the Public Safety Department.

Recommended Procurement Approach:

For the reason stated above, Clay County Purchasing Department intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to contract with Rescue Systems Unlimited, LLC for supplying the above.

To our knowledge Rescue Systems Unlimited, LLC is currently the sole supplier available for products manufactured by Genesis Rescue Systems.
