WATER TREATMENT PLANT VFD REPLACEMENT PROJECT
CITY OF GAINESVILLE, GEORGIA
The City of Gainesville is requesting proposals for the Water Treatment Plant VFD Replacement
Project. The Project will consist of Work occurring at two different sites. Work at Riverside WTP
consists of the following major elements: Demolition of the existing high service pump No. 6 and
raw water pump No. 4 motor control centers and variable frequency drives and the installation
of the new high service pump No. 6 and raw water pump No. 4 motor control centers and variable
frequency drives. Work at Lakeside WTP consists of the following major elements: Demolition of
the existing high service pump No. 1 motor control center and variable frequency drive and the
installation of the new high service pump No. 1 motor control center and variable frequency
drive. Copies of the electronic Contract Documents may be obtained, beginning on Monday,
June 8, 2026 from Robert Simmons at rsimmons@gainesvillega.gov. A mandatory Pre-
Proposal Conferences (TWO MEETINGS - TWO LOCATIONS) will be held on Thursday June
11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., local time at the Riverside WTP at 2120 Riverside Drive Northeast,
Gainesville, Georgia 30501 and at 2:30 p.m., local time at the Lakeside WTP at 5640 G.C. Crow
Road, Flowery Branch, Georgia 30542. Proposals will be received at the Department of Water
Resources Engineering and Construction Services Division, 757 Queen City Parkway,
Gainesville, GA 30501, 1st Floor until 2:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, July 9, 2026.
