The Resource Conservation District of Santa Cruz County (RCDSCC) is inviting licensed contractors to apply for prequalification for upcoming habitat restoration and vegetation management projects throughout Santa Cruz County.?This prequalification process will establish a roster of qualified contractors eligible to bid on projects from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2030. Projects will focus on fuel reduction, invasive species removal (including eucalyptus and acacia), and restoration work in environmentally sensitive habitats, including areas that support special-status species.
Work may include manual and mechanized vegetation removal, herbicide applications, biomass processing, and site restoration, all conducted under strict environmental and regulatory requirements.
Submittals are due by July 17, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
Only prequalified contractors will be invited to bid on future projects. Interested firms must demonstrate relevant experience, regulatory compliance, and the ability to work safely in sensitive ecological environments.
