Bogue Banks 2026/2027 Renourishment Project

Carteret County is seeking proposals for construction of their Bogue Banks 2026/2027 Renourishment Project. The work consists of hopper dredging with placement and grading of up to 1,864,000 cubic yards of beach fill material on 46,600 linear feet of beach within six reaches on Bogue Banks. The project will also include 45,300 square yards of dune planting. Turtle trawling/relocation as well as beach tilling may also be required.

The project is anticipated to be advertised on July 2, 2026.

An open non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for all interested bidders and vendors at 2:00 pm EDT on July 22, 2026, via webinar/teleconference presented by Carteret County and the Engineer, Moffatt & Nichol.
