Description

As a dynamic quasi-government organization, the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) faces multiple levels of approvals and challenges, including quick turnaround times for preparatory work of proposed real estate projects. The AER Workplace Services project team conducts extensive pre-project preparation to effectively navigate the AER’s approvals process, ensuring that projects can be implemented successfully. To support these efforts, we are seeking to retain a licensed Professional Architect for Architectural Bridging Consultant Services on a longer-term basis. This consultant will assist with the implementation of initial project phases, including pre-design, schematic design, and procurement for various internal real estate projects. These initial project development services are essential for efficient planning, early project costing, and scheduling, thereby streamlining the approval process for real estate projects. Projects may include interior office spaces and warehouses at various AER locations throughout Alberta.

In addition to facilitating the initial project phases, the bridging consultant will ensure essential quality control and coordination throughout the project lifecycle, demonstrating a collaborative approach to project delivery and ensuring seamless integration of all project components. Acting as an advisor, the bridging consultant will guide the organization through complex projects and provide expert-level recommendations. They will supply the necessary information for informed decision-making, maintain high standards, minimize risks, optimize project costs and timelines, and protect the AER's interests by aligning all design and construction aspects with organizational goals. Flexibility is required to accommodate last-minute changes and adjustments, ensuring all work meets our evolving needs.
