Interim Contract for Nurse Triage Services at PIMC

This is a notification of an award of a sole source procurement under NAICS code 621399, Offices of All Other Miscellaneous Health Practitioners: This U.S. industry comprises establishments of independent health practitioners (except physicians; dentists; chiropractors; optometrists; mental health specialists; physical, occupational, and speech therapists; audiologists; and podiatrists). These practitioners operate private or group practices in their own offices (e.g., centers, clinics) or in the facilities of others, such as hospitals or HMO medical centers. This will be for Indian Health Services at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center for a period of three (3) months under the authority of FAR 8.405-6 (a)(1)(i)(A), Urgent and Compelling. Due to the daily need for these Telephone Nurse Triage Services that are critical in providing continued care and support to Native American patients. These services are for eligible Native Americans and Alaskan Natives, Monday through Sunday 24 hours per day, 7 days per week to include all federally recognized holidays. A registered nurse advises the caller as to the proper disposition for his/her stated medical concern or problem. The dispositions will range from home care advice to recommended emergency care immediately. The service provides telephone toll-free access to a medical library containing common medical conditions and diseases. The caller speaks initially with a registered nurse that connects the caller with the appropriate medical topic. Caller is prompted to speak to the nurse to access additional topics. It is critical that these services remain uninterrupted and continued due to the need for patient care and support at PIMC. These services must continue without interruption by Dymentum Health, LLC.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract acquisition based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed. Information provided will be used to assess tradeoffs and alternatives available for the potential requirement and may lead to the development of a solicitation. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted.

Any solicitation resulting from the analysis of information obtained will be announced to the public in Federal Business Opportunities in accordance with the FAR Part 5.
