Description

Purpose of Procurement
Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide full Remediation Services to Kennesaw State University (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP.
The purpose of this Solicitation is to secure (a) qualified supplier(s) who will provide full remediation services to Kennesaw State University (KSU) for various types of damage events across our two (2) campuses in Kennesaw and Marietta. These events, some of which will be categorized as emergency requests due to the possible risk to students and campus, may arise due to water, fire, smoke, or mold, requiring mitigation and rebuilding services. KSU seeks to establish partnerships with remediation suppliers who can assist with swift response and thorough services to restore affected spaces to their original condition, ensuring minimal disruption to the student housing experience. The department of Housing and Residence Life will be the primary point of contact for remediation services as they are the primary requesting KSU team, unless the Offeror is informed otherwise during the service requests. This RFP will reference KSU Housing throughout.
Note: All departments and divisions at KSU have access to utilize the awarded contract(s) as needed and will coordinate those service requests with their appointed point of contact, if needed, due to their lower incident rate.
Remediation services are essential for addressing damage caused by water, fire, smoke, or mold events. These incidents can occur for various reasons, including, but not limited to, flooding from appliances, pipe bursts, leaking systems, fire suppression sprinkler system activation, cooking accidents, student behaviors, or unclean living environments leading to mold growth.
Average/most common service request¿s size of scope for remediation services at KSU (for general reference only):
-       Approximately 90% of scopes have a total cost of less than $75,000.
