Under this RFQ, the Town will accept household hazardous waste generated only from residential sources. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the successful proposer will be required to operate the household hazardous waste collection event(s) in accordance with the standards/statutes for large quantity handlers of universal waste found at 40 CFR 273.33, 273.34, 273.36, and 273.37, as well as the Regulations of Connecticut State Agencies (“RCSA”) 22a-449-(c)-113(d)(1)(A) through (E). Any used household hazardous wastes that are generated from municipal sources shall be managed in accordance with all applicable sections of RCSA 22a-449(c)-113, Standards for Universal Waste Management.
