Description

BC Transit is currently considering a procurement of an initial 105 hybrid-electric buses, with the option to acquire additional units at sole discretion of BC Transit. The agreement will be for an initial two-year term, with the possibility of extending for up to three additional two-year periods. For the purposes of this RFSQ a heavy duty hybrid-electric bus is represented by the forty-foot (40-foot) low floor transit style bus powered by a diesel internal combustion engine in series configuration with an electric propulsion system that meets all the mandatory technical requirements as listed in section D – Mandatory Technical Requirements.
