Solicitation Description:

The City of Waco has issued this solicitation for the maintenance service of approximately 740 fire hydrants within the noted section of the City of Waco. This is approximately one-eighth (1/8) of the City’s inventory of fire hydrants. The service is to include, but not limited to, exercising the fire hydrants, conducting pressure tests, greasing various hydrant parts and conducting minor hydrant repairs to be tracked through an online dashboard. In addition, the contractor shall immediately report non-working or irregularly operating fire hydrants and hydrant valves to the City of Waco. At this point, said fire hydrants shall be evaluated for repair or replacement and said fire hydrant shall be repaired or replaced according to the City of Waco’s instructions. Work may be performed Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, fuel, and backfill material.
