Description:

The City of Brewer, Maine (“City”) is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering and design firms to provide planning, engineering, and design services for improvements to the trail system at Pier Park, located along the Penobscot River waterfront. The intent of this Request for Proposals is to retain a qualified engineering firm to design multi-use trail improvements that enhance public access, safety, connectivity, and environmental stewardship, while positioning the project for successful construction. This RFP is issued in support of a project for which the City was awarded funding from the Maine Bureau of Parks and Lands, Maine Trails Program for a 2026 project start. All work performed under this contract must be consistent with the scope, schedule, and deliverables identified in that application and any resulting grant award conditions.
