OVERVIEW AND OBJECTIVES:

The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is soliciting qualifications from medical directors active in the practice of emergency medicine and actively involved with an emergency medical service organization for at least five years ( ORC 4765.03(B) ) for the purpose of selecting a qualified individual to serve as the Medical Director to the State Board of Emergency Medical, Fire, and Transportation Services (EMFTS).  Selection will be based on applicant’s qualifications and is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the EMFTS Board.  The rate of compensation for the selected Medical Director’s billable hours will be $100.00 per hour, not to exceed seventy-one thousand dollars ($71,000.00) per fiscal year.  The EMFTS Board may request Medical Director services in its sole discretion.  The Medical Director is not guaranteed a minimum number of hours.

Offeror must title the electronic file with “SRC0000033909 EMS Medical Director - Resume” ,   In addition to resume, Offerors are encouraged to provide specification and capability information to demonstrate a clear understanding of this request and satisfy Requirements and Qualifications.
