Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Integra Lifesciences for Cordless Headlights
Purchase Order Number: 25-007631
Description
This is a Notice of Intent and NOT a request for quotation. No solicitation document will be issued, and quotations will not be requested.
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) plans to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Integra Lifesciences Corporation, located at 1100 Campus Road, Princeton, NJ 08450-6550.
The Department of Perioperative Medicine requires Integra cordless headlights. These headlights are requested by all surgeons for use in various surgical procedures to improve visualization and lighting in the operating field. The cordless design allows surgeons unrestricted movement around the room.
Key Benefits of the Headlight System:
The Department already uses several sets of this headlight. To maintain standardization, the purchase will match the existing system’s charging stations and batteries.
Catalog Items and Quantities:
This procurement will follow Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501, concerning special documentation for sole source acquisitions above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold. Contracts under FAR Part 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures) are exempt from FAR Part 6 (Competition Requirements).
Interested parties may express their interest and submit capability statements in response to this notice. The Government’s decision not to compete the requirement is final and based solely on these responses.
