Description:
  • The City of Hutto, a home rule municipality, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified contractors for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the full depth rebuild of Live Oak Street located in Hutto, TX. The contractor is required to make a field visit prior to submitting bids to verify dimensions, site conditions, verify quantities, and provide traffic control plan necessary to perform work.  The Traffic Control Plan shall be sealed by a Professional Engineer Registered in the State of Texas as required by the City Engineer prior to starting work.

  • Base bid for Live Oak Street, total length to be reconstructed is approximately 3,050 linear feet by 22 linear feet (LF), between Park Street going west shortly past West Street.

  • Alternate bid A) for East Metcalfe Street and West Metcalfe Street, total length to be reconstructed is approximately 1,601 LF by 22 LF, between West Street going east towards FM 1660., and between FM 1660 going east to Church Street

  • Alternate bid B) for Hutto Street, total length to be reconstructed is 1,720 LF by 22 LF, between Whitfield Street going east towards FM 1660.

  • Alternate bid C) for Liberty Street and Church Street, total length to be reconstructed is 1,870 LF by 22 LF, Liberty Street from Whitfield Street going east to East Street Church Street from FM 1660 going east to Pecan Street

  • The scope of work for all locations includes removing 7 inches of asphalt, base and subgrade, replacing with 5 inches of Type B hot mix asphalt and 2 inches of Type D hot mix asphalt, and associated traffic control, cleanup, and compliance with city specifications.

  • Construction is expected to be completed within 90 calendar days of Notice to Proceed. 1.1 Executive Summary & Scope of Work
The City of Hutto, a home rule municipality, is soliciting sealed bids from qualified
contractors for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for the full depth rebuild
of Live Oak Street located in Hutto, TX. The contractor is required to make a field visit
prior to submitting bids to verify dimensions, site conditions, verify quantities, and
provide traffic control plan necessary to perform work. The Traffic Control Plan shall be

Base bid for Live Oak Street, total length to be done is approximately 3,050 linear feet

scope of work includes removing 7inches of asphalt, base, and subgrade, replacing with
5inches of Type B asphalt and 2inches of Type D asphalt, and associated traffic control,
cleanup, and compliance with city specifications.
Alternate bid A) for E. Metcalfe Street and W. Metcalfe Street, total length to be done
is approximately 1,601 LF by 22 LF, between West Street going east towards FM 1660.,
and between FM 1660 going east to Church Street. The scope of work includes
removing 7 inches of asphalt, base and subgrade, replacing with 5 inches of Type B hot
mix asphalt and 2 inches of Type D hot mix asphalt, and associated traffic control,
cleanup, and compliance with city specifications.
Alternate bid B) for Hutto Street, total length to be done is 1720 LF by 22 LF, between
Whitfield Street going east towards FM 1660. The scope of work includes removing 7

Each BID must be accompanied by Bid Security made payable to the City of Hutto in an
amount of five percent (5%) of BIDDER's total Bid amount in the form of a certified or
cashier's check on a state or national bank or an acceptable Bid Bond issued by a reliable
surety company as a guarantee that the Bidder, if selected, will enter into a contract and
execute the required Performance and Payment Bonds within ten (10) days after notice
of award.

The City of Hutto will consider bids from business entities that demonstrate the ability
to complete the Project within the guidelines of this solicitation, following all applicable
federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations and the terms and conditions
contained in Exhibit B. Respondent must execute Exhibit A and complete other items
listed on the Submission Checklist to be considered for award.
