The work to be done under this Contract includes the furnishing of all material, labor, equipment, and all else necessary for making and completing certain borings, soil sampling, and rock coring as described herein and shown on the Contract Plans. Contractors should also provide traffic control as stated in the contract documents. The work consists of 50 test borings in the general vicinity of the Devon Bridge, Metro-North over Housatonic River in Milford/Stratford, Connecticut, on both the eastern and western approaches including borings for track, retaining walls, the proposed bridge abutments, and the Naugatuck Avenue Bridge.
