Diversion First Youth Diversion Teams

Diversion First is a state-wide effort to ensure all youth in Connecticut have the opportunity to be diverted away from formal processing in the juvenile justice system for low level offenses which did or could otherwise result in a referral to juvenile court, and thus improving their long-term outcomes. There are currently 35 communities where no diversion program operates. This RFP will result in 3 contracts, each covering two DCF regions, each of which will administer the Youth Diversion Team (YDT) process for eligible, referred youth in their catchment area.
