This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products with incidental services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The USDA, Agricultural Research Service in Auburn, AL requires an update to the current controllers and global control module on the HVAC air handling unit located in Building 50, Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit.
In accordance with the procedures in FAR Part 5 and 12, this Request for Quote (RFQ), number 1232SA25Q0655, is available through electronic commerce via the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. This RFQ is being issued under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 334512 Automatic Environmental Control Manufacturing for Residential, Commercial and Appliance Use. The applicable small business size standard is 650 employees.
The resulting purchase order will be a firm-fixed price type for a supply with installation no later than sixty (60) calendar days after the date of contract award. All deliveries shall be made FOB Destination to the location specified in the contract.
The resulting award will include one (1) line item as listed below:
Line Item 0001 – Provide and install all required components to upgrade the automatic controls of the existing HVAC air handling unit, in accordance with the Statement of Work. Quantity: 1 EA, Brand Name or Equal.
This solicitation document incorporates those provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2025-05 August 7, 2025 (Attachment 1).
Vendors are required to be active and registered in the System for Award Management at www.sam.gov when submitting a quote and at time of award (FAR 52.204-7(b)(1).
A site visit is scheduled for August 27, 2025, 10:00 AM Central Time. Vendors interested in attending the site visit must notify the Contracting Officer at osvaldo.rodriguez@usda.gov by 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time on August 25, 2025, to be added to the approved list.
The final day for question submissions is August 28, 2025, 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Questions must be submitted electronically, e-mailed to osvaldo.rodriguez@usda.gov.
Quotes are due no later than September 4, 2025, 10:00 AM Eastern Time. Quotes must be submitted electronically, e-mailed to osvaldo.rodriguez@usda.gov; no faxed or hard copy quotes are allowed.
