The Department of Environment and Protected Areas (EPA), as represented by the Airshed and Watershed Stewardship Branch (AWS) and River Forecast Centre (RFC), in its mandate to ensure public and ecosystem protection and the sustainability of Alberta’s air, land, water, and biodiversity, requires casual hire contracts with aircraft companies to deliver cost-effective services to the Departments. Rotary-wing aircraft registered to private companies are required for temporary and/or urgent activities on a day-to-day basis.
