Project Description: The City of West Jordan seeks proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms to analyze roadway and canal embankment stabilization options along Canal Road.
The City seeks an engineering consultant to conduct a Road Stability Evaluation and Remediation (RSER) Study to evaluate options for stabilizing the canal embankment, enabling the restoration of the road’s original asphalt width. The consultant is expected to:
• Identify stabilization options and their associated engineering and professional service requirements.
• Assess the need for environmental clearances and determine their scope, if necessary.
• Provide a cost comparison of the proposed solutions.
• Determine the level of involvement and approvals required from the canal company and other agencies (e.g., Utah Division of Water Rights).
The findings and recommendations shall be documented in a technical memorandum addressed to the City Engineer.
