Request for Proposal
All assessment personnel must meet the qualifications as prescribed in the Qualifications of Assessor Regulation AIR 233/2005.
The proponent must provide the name of the individual to be appointed by the municipality as the designated assessor in accordance with the Municipal Government Act (MGA).
Statutory Performance Requirements
Prepare assessments in accordance with the MGA and its' attendant regulations, while following statutory timelines, and adhere to any policies or guidelines as issued from time to time from the Alberta Provincial Government and/or the Minister of Municipal Affairs.
System and Data Requirements
The proponent must maintain the appropriate computer hardware and software systems (CAMA, etc.), at the proponent’s sole cost.
The proponent must provide the annual assessments and any data conversions necessary, in a format compatible with the municipality financial software, at the sole cost of the proponent.
Any hardware of software system malfunctions that result in loss of assessment data or require re-entry of assessment data will be remedied at the sole cost of the proponent.
Complaints and Appeals
The proponent must deal with complaints outside the formal appeal process in a timely and professional manor. The proponent must also represent the municipality at any assessment appeal hearings before the Regional Assessment Review Board and any appeals before the Municipal Government Board in compliance with the statutory requirements of the MGA.
