Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, HQ, Falls Church, VA intends to award a sole source firm fixed price order under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Other than Full and Open Competition procedures, and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition procedures to Lutron Services Co., Inc., Coopersburg, PA. This requirement is for continuity of services to maintain such a complex computer operated lighting system. Lutron Services Co., Inc. has built and installed a computer-operated system that provides total light management by tying the lighting controls, motorized window shades, digital ballasts and LED drivers, and sensors together under one software.
The recipient has developed the models system for these projects; the proposed service is builds upon the earlier products, and the goal Is to continue operations and maintenance contract through the manufacturer for continuation of warranty, as the lighting control system is proprietary to Lutron.
These activities have followed a decision-based framework and reaching a critical phase where continued collaboration with Lutron Services Co., Inc will ensure that the lighting controls, motorized window shades, digital ballasts and LED drivers, and sensors remain together under one functional and well-maintained software; and other systems are fully linked to the driving models. The North American Industry classification (NAICS) code is 561210, and the size standard is $47 million.
This notice is not a request for competitive proposals; however, firms with expressed interest and capability are encouraged to respond. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
