The purpose of this Invitation for Bid is to issue a purchase order with the responsive and responsible vendor that submits the lowest priced bid for the removal and replacement of two failed overhead roll-up doors located in the Eccles Center stage hallway. The selected vendor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project to specification.
Background
We have 2 large overhead doors (approximately 34' X 22') at the Eccles building that have failed, and unfortunately the doors are obsolete so we need to replace them. We are looking to go with smaller roll up doors (16 X 16).
Mandatory Walkthrough:
A mandatory walkthrough will be held to allow vendors to view the project site, take measurements, and ask questions. A representative from each bidding company must be present for their bid to be considered.

Vendors will sign in and congregate in the conference room before the walkthrough begins.
Scope of Work:
The project involves the replacement of two overhead roll-up doors in the Eccles Center stage hallway. The existing doors, approximately 34 feet wide by 22 feet high, are obsolete and no longer serviceable.
Demolition and Removal of the existing overhead doors and associated framing.
Framing Modifications to reduce the opening size and prepare the structure for new doors.
Construction of New Framed Walls:
* New walls shall be framed flush with the existing hallway wall.
* Framing shall use 2x6 steel studs and sheetrock.
* Walls must be insulated to meet fire wall requirements.
* Walls must be fully finished, including painting.
* If additional bracing is required to support the garage doors, contractors must include this in their bid.
Supply and Installation of two new 16' x 16' gray roll-up fire rated doors.
Electrical Integration:
* Doors will be electrically operated.
* Snow College will provide in-house power to the door locations.
* Doors will be installed on the south side of the opening, inside the new framed wall, to be closer to existing controls.
Disposal of all removed materials and debris.
All work must be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and safety standards.

Disposal of all removed materials in accordance with local regulations
Installation:
Framing, Mounting and securing of new doors
Alignment and testing for proper operation
Weather sealing and finishing as needed
Bid Requirements:
Itemized quote including materials, travel time, labor, and any applicable fees
Warranty details
Proof of insurance and applicable licenses with Snow College listed as additionally insured / certificate holder.
Signed Contract with Snow College
Timeline:
Start Date: As soon as possible
Completion Time: On or before the beginning of February 2026.
Please note: All labor and travel costs must be included in the total bid amount. No additional charges will be allowed after the bid is awarded.
Evaluation of Quotes: Each bid received shall be evaluated for responsiveness in as outlined in the Utah Procurement Code. Bids submitted must comply with the specification identified in this RFB.
Multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted. If a vendor submits multiple or alternate quotes, Snow College will only accept the bidder's primary bid and will not accept any other bids constituting multiple or alternate bids.
Snow College Purchasing may solicit other quotes via email, phone, or other methods as permitted by the Utah Procurement Code or applicable Administrative Rules.
