SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions.



AMENDMENT 01



The following Addendum 01 is being issued for the subject request for Quotation: 353956_CoilAssembly Questions





Please adhere to the following requirement before submitting a bid.





The Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) regulations issued by the Department of Commerce (DOC) ensure that subcontractors give preferential treatment to purchase orders for national defense and atomic energy programs. Under DPAS, the DOC has delegated to U.S. Government agencies the authority to issue “rated orders.” A rated order is a subcontract in support of authorized national defense or atomic energy programs issued in accordance with DPAS regulations.





This is a rated order certified for national defense use, and you are required to follow all the provisions of the Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) regulation (15 CFR Part 700).”

2. Do you have a preference for the part material? Yes



3. What is the initial quantity you are considering for purchase? 40-48 coils/ 5-6 sets of 8 coils

This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive. Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal.





The following changes are herby made to the appropriate documents contained the above-mentioned Request for Quotation (RFQ). All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain the same.

  • Backwinding wet wound or potted coils

  • Winding coil >12” OD

  • Hipot testing to >48VDC

  • Precision aluminum machining of the bobbin





Quote is for product only; no on-site services permitted.





Source selection will be based on Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable Method and best Lead-Time.

All subcontractors are required to register in the System for Award Management (www.sam.gov).

The resulting purchase order will be issued on a fixed price basis. SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory Terms and Conditions for Fixed Price Commercial Supplies and Services (Rev. August 2023) will be made a part of the resulting order. Please mark up terms and conditions if you wish to negotiate. No mark ups mean that you accept SLAC Terms and Conditions.





Payment Terms will be NET-30





Freight terms will be FOB Destination Prepaid and Add
