SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE

This is NOT a request for quote (RFQ), invitation for bid (IFB), or an announcement of a solicitation as no solicitation package exists at this time. The request is for informal purposes only. No cost data should be submitted. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice or any follow-up information requests. Submittal will not be returned to the sender. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. Naval Supply System Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics San Diego (FLCSD) will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning only.

NAVSUP FLCSD is seeking information from all potential business sources to provide USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) the rental one (1) 180ft JLG Boom Lift in order to perform maintenance and repair work during its Planned Incremental Availability (PIA) period at port.
The contractor must not take exception to any of the requirements stated in the Statement of Requirements (SOR). Shipments are to be delivered by 30 days after receipt of order (ARO). The primary North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 532490, Other Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing, with a size standard of $40 (millions of dollars). Please review the attached Statement of Requirements (Draft SOR) for all items needed.

The anticipated performance period will span approximately 8 months from award. The anticipated award date is 28 January 2025. The resulting contract is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). The results of this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine if small business opportunities exist and also to gauge competitiveness in the commercial marketplace for the upcoming solicitation.
The contracts department is interested in locating and identifying qualified Small Business sources to determine if sources exist for Small Business and other socio-economic set-asides. The contractor must be able to provide the equipment from the attached Statement of Requirements - SOR and meet the requirements therein. A determination as to whether this acquisition will be a set-aside for small business will be based upon responses to this notice.

Interested firms (Socio economics, small business and large business) are ALL invited to respond to this sources sought announcement by demonstrating Technical Capabilities that summarizes relevant experience, knowledge, and capabilities consistent with the effort described in the Draft SOR.
In addition, responses should include the following information:

(1) Please fill out the MARKET RESEARCH QUESTIONNAIRE
(2) Please SUBMIT Contractor’s technical capabilities statement (no more than 10 pages)
