Summary Details
|
Project Overview:
CRD Regional Parks is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to provide preliminary design options and evaluations for the likely replacement of the Bilston Creek pedestrian bridge structure, in Witty’s Lagoon Regional Park in accordance with CSA S7:23 and any other applicable guidelines and regulations. Options may consider extensive rehabilitation if deemed feasible during initial documentation review and site inspection, however, a full replacement of the main span is highly likely.
Following the completion of the preliminary designs, the CRD will select one to carry forward for detailed design. While detailed design is not part of this initial scope, the CRD may award it as a continuation of this contract or open it for competition.
Finally, there are two viewing platforms, one that is connected to the bridge and boardwalk structure and one of the opposite side of the falls. Any major maintenance or rehabilitation design work should be considered as part of this scope.
