Industrial Welding, Fabrication and Repair Services

The City of Newport News (the “City”) is seeking proposals from qualified firms (the “Offeror” or “Contractor”) to furnish the goods and/or services described herein and proposals will be received via the City’s e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov Procurement ( https://secure.procurenow.com/portal/nnva ), to be received no later than Monday, November 17, 2025 at 5:00 pm (local prevailing time).

The purpose of this Unsealed Request for Proposals (URFP) is to solicit proposals to furnish/provide industrial welding, fabrication and repair services on an as needed basis for the City of Newport News “City” Department of Parks and Recreation according to the specifications within. The intent is to establish a multi-term contract for services and repairs on an as needed basis throughout each contract term. Other City departments may utilize services as needed.

The City currently maintains several locations that have aluminum gangways, floating docks, various metal railings, stairways and several types of large metal assets that periodically require repairs for preservation.
