Description

Solicitation N0042125Q0053 is issued as a synopsis/solicitation. The Government intends to purchase on a firm fixed-price basis and to solicit the proposed purchase order as a Sole Source to University of Illinois





The R&D services and study being provided can only be accomplished at the University of Illinois. They have appropriate graduate and undergraduate level staff who are experts in the field of inducing and evaluating additive manufacturing defects for polymeric material extrusion. The lab has the equipment, knowledge, and experience required for the nondestructive inspection. The lab are experts in generating predictive models through collection of mechanical test data and non-destructive inspection.





Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to submission of an offer to be considered for award of any DoD contract. This may be accomplished electronically at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. Solicitation





N0042124T0053 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This action will be conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and Part 13.

No terms will be incorporated into any price quote and/or order accepted by the Government unless otherwise agreed to by all parties in writing. Any and all terms and conditions contained in any price quote and/or order that violate any Federal laws, statutes, and regulations, including but not limited to, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) are void and will have no effect. The applicable Federal laws, statutes, and regulations, including, but not limited to, the FAR and DFARS will govern instead.



Offers must complete the certification in Section K of this solicitation, 52.209-11,



Representation by Corporation Regarding Delinquent Tax Liability or a Felony conviction under any Federal Law. All offers must complete FAR 52.204-26 within SAM. If 52.204-26 Section K is completed as “does not” for provision and use of the prohibited equipment and services, FAR 52.204-24 Section K would not be completed and submitted separately as part of the offer per direction within FAR 52.204-24 itself. If FAR 52.204-26 includes “does” for either provision or use, FAR 52.204-24 Section K is required to be completed and submitted as part of the proposal. Offers must complete 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items in Section K of the solicitation.



The Government intends to award this on a sole source basis. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received.
