Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, Network Contracting Office 1, Regional Procurement Office East intends to negotiate a sole source contract for 6350- Miscellaneous Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems, other than full and open competition will be utilized to award to a small business firm for this procurement under the SAT, IAW FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B). Competition is restricted on this procurement due to Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized. The associated NAICS code for this is 334290. The vendor will be RF Technologies Inc., 3125 N 126TH ST BROOKFIELD, WI, 53005-3115.

Description of services:
SUPPLY: The Contracting Activity is looking to acquire delivery and installation of the Code Alert Patient Wandering System (model 9450-8073) solely manufactured and solely distributed by the OEM Small Business, RF Technologies Inc. for White River Junction s Community Living Center. The location of the service will be at White River Junction VA Medical Center 163 Veterans Drive White River Junction, VT 05001-0001.
It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers.
Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 10:00 AM EST on 06/10/2025.
