FIRE DEPARTMENT IMPROVEMENTS
REQUEST FOR LETTERS OF INTEREST

Notice is hereby given that the City of Springdale Arkansas (City) is seeking letters of interest from qualified firms for the design and construction of a fire training addition to Fire Station 4 property in Springdale, Arkansas located at 3377 W. Huntsville Ave. This procurement process is based upon Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations Part 172 - Procurement, Management, and Administration of Engineering and Design Related Services. This solicitation is conducted in strict accordance with Arkansas Code Annotated (A.C.A.) § 19-11-801 et seq. (Procurement of Professional Services) and A.C.A. § 22-9-203 regarding public improvements. Selection will be based on a Qualifications-Based Selection (QBS) process. Cost or fee components shall not be submitted with the Letter of Interest. The City of Springdale reserves the right to reject any or all submissions, to waive any informalities or irregularities, and to select the Design-Build team deemed most qualified to serve the best interest of the City within the fixed budgetary and time limits.

Fixed Contract Cap: $416,000.00 (Design-Not-to-Exceed)

Final Substantial Completion: December 31, 2026

The work will generally consist of the design and construction of a fire apparatus access road and turnaround, utility coordination, and construction of an engineered concrete fire training trench prop (detail provided to selected firms). This prop required to withstand repetitive live training stresses, water logging, and heavy soil/ hydrostatic pressures. All work and contract requirements shall conform to requirements of the City.
