Description:

The City of Vernal (referred to as “Owner”) is seeking proposals from qualified and licensed asbestos abatement contractors to provide all labor, materials, equipment, and disposal necessary to remove and properly dispose of all asbestos-containing materials (ACM) identified in the Asbestos Inspection Report (Exhibit A & B) for the Lamplighter Property, located at: 120 East Main Street, Vernal Utah 84078

This project is being conducted as part of the planned demolition and redevelopment of the property. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including but not limited to, Utah Department of Environmental Quality (UDEQ), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

Qualifications:

All proposals must include the following:
? Company information, including qualifications and experience with similar projects.
? Copies of current licenses and certifications required for asbestos abatement in Utah.
? Proposed project approach and schedule.
? Detailed cost proposal, broken down by labor, materials, equipment, disposal, and any other fees.
? References for at least three (3) similar asbestos abatement projects completed within the past five (5) years.

Miscellaneous:

Proposers must submit one original copy of their proposal. Submittals are to be
delivered in a sealed envelope marked “Proposal - Asbestos Abatement Project” and received at the City no later than Thursday, August 21,2025 at 4:00 pm or the Proposal can be emailed to edilworth@vernal.gov. It is the responsibility of the contractor to verify that the email submission was received.
