|
1.1 The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to identify and retain a qualified Contractor to provide as-needed professional municipal debt collection services to the City of Albany. In the course of enforcing violations of the NYS Fire Prevention and Building Code, the City of Albany Corporation Counsel’s office has won more than one and a half million dollars in uncollected code enforcement fines since 2017. The City of Albany seeks a qualified collection agency or law firm with experience and expertise in the enforcement and collection of such fines to assist the City of Albany in the enforcement of these fines. MWBE-Certified vendors are encouraged to submit proposals.
