These fifteen NSNs are all sole source to the OEM and work in conjuction with the CSD to provide electrical power to the aircraft. The contract provides engineering support for a wide variety of engineering issues to include technical order updates, obsolescence analysis, support for technical inquiries, and other engineering tasks as defined. The government does not own or has possession of the necessary technical data to compete this engineering support. Only the OEM has the technical knowledge and expertise to meet the government's requirement. The basic contract was awarded as unrestricted using Other Than Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and no Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
