PLUMBING SERVICES FOR A NEW COLLEGE MODEL HOME PLUMBING 3 BEDROOM, 3 BATH DWELLING; 2026-2027 HAWAI'I COMMUNITY COLLEGE MODEL HOME

Project Description: Provide and install complete plumbing services, including waterline trenching and a
DWS-approved backflow preventer (provided by contractor), services encompassing all
plumbing fixtures reflected on the blueprint, including solar water heating package,
for the 2026-2027 Hawai\'i Community College Model Home, a 3 bedroom, 3 bath single
story dwelling, to be built in Hilo, Hawaii: TMK:
(3) 2-1-021: 108:0000, located at 399 Desha Avenue, Hilo, HI (MH # 57) (SEE
ATTACHMENTS- PLUMBING MATERIALS IN HOUSE MATERIALS INCLUDED).

NOTE: Plumbing contractor shall be furnished with sinks, Solar heater tank, Thermal
Solar panels, faucets, hosebibs, laundry tray sink, shower heads, tub, shower stall
walls and rough-in Valves, Shower 2” ABS drains, washing machine box, ice maker box
w/ hammer, Watts ¾” Press. Reg. & ¾” CXC LF Brass Ball Valve, 3- Cadet 1.67 G Toilet
bowls and tanks w/ seats. See plumbing supplies included in the pre approved package.

Plumbing services for a newly constructed 3 bedroom, 3 bath, single story dwelling
being
built in Hilo, Hawaii, TMK: (3) 2-1-021-108:0000, 399 Desha Avenue, Hilo, HI MH # 57 Only
Licensed Contractors will be awarded.

Contractors to supply and install complete plumbing services reflected on blueprint, with
solar water heating package, including installation of DWS approved backflow prevention
assembly (provided by contractor) to DWS specifications, complete trenching,
installation, and back filling of main waterline to duplex rear lot for the 2026-2027 Hawai\'i
community College Model Home, a new 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, single story dwelling. Must comply
with Technical Specifications, General Conditions, and contract drawings (see attached
drawings- upon request).

Incomplete quotes will not be accepted. Bidder must supply and install all plumbing.
Quote must include all applicable fees and tax. Incomplete quotes will not be accepted.

Construction of the Model Home will start in the Spring of 2026.

Contractor shall guarantee materials and workmanship for a minimum of ONE (1) year from
the date of project acceptance, (defined as the receipt of the overall Plumbing final
inspection). Any defects caused by workmanship or materials shall be corrected by the
contractor at no extra cost to the University.

Instruction to Bidders, Plumbing Technical Specifications, General Conditions, Business
Classification, Insurance & Minimum Wage.

All bidders must thoroughly review the latest drawings prior to submitting their bid.
Bidders must independently verify the accuracy of the distance required for the water
line trenching. Submitting a bid confirms that the bidder has reviewed and accepted the
specified distances or has included any necessary adjustments based on their site review.
Drawings Review of Site plan should be reviewed to ensure that all bids will include
complete trenching of the main water line. Accuracy of distance for trenching needs to be
reviewed by all bidders. See Attached Plumbing Material List included in house package.

NOTE: Upon award, the winning bidder must provide a Certificate of Vendor Compliance (per
HRS 103D-310 (c) for purchases of $2,500+). For information, visit:

the time of award, or the award will go to the next low bidder who meets specifications.
