ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 2025 LMIG Road Resurfacing Improvements- Fellows
Road will be received, by the Wilcox County Board of Commissioners, at the Wilcox County Board of
Commissioners Office - 103 N Broad Street #105 Abbeville, GA 31001, until 10:30 am local time
on May 14, 2026 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project
consists of +/- 1,975 of Asphalt Concrete 1.5" 12.5 mm Superpave, +/- 1200 Tons of Open Graded
Interlayer (OGI), center line striping, stop bar striping, traffic control, erosion & sediment control,
blading of shoulders, and miscellaneous related items.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Still Waters Engineering, 130 Veterinary Way Unit
2, Leesburg, GA 31763. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing
Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 AM - 5:30 P.M, and may obtain
copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at Wilcox County Board of Commissioners Office; during
their regular business hours.
Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above, by
calling 229-496-5700, or by requesting via email from bodom@stillwaterseng.com. Bidding
Documents are available electronically (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-
refundable charge of $300.00. Paper copies of bid documents are also available for an additional
$100.00 non-refundable charge. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, Bidding Documents will
be sent via email or other means of electronic file distribution. The date that the Bidding
Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of
receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the
Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding
Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be approved prior to the
date of the bid opening.
Acquisition of property for easements, right of way, etc. is not expected to be required for this
project.
This project is expected to be funded all or in part by the Georgia Department of Transportation
Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG) program and Wilcox County Board of
Commissioners funds.
