Description:

RFP-489 ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) CHARGING STATION CONSULTING SERVICES AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The City of Yonkers will allow proposals to be submitted via electronic delivery method thru the Empire State Purchasing Group System – BidNet ( http://www.empirestatebidsystem.com/ ).

Provide on-call fleet electrification transition planning, implementation, and management services focused on the expansion of the City’s electric vehicle fleet and charging infrastructure. The services shall include the components listed herein. Additional components may be added on an as-needed basis. The components are as follows: current fleet and EV charging infrastructure assessment, building, electrical and site location feasibility assessment; fleet advisory services, demand response; resiliency and preparedness; project staging; grants and financing; overall costs; workforce training

Proposers will address the following strategies:

1. EV charging station site identification: Identify and recommend locations for EV charging station installation that best serve the City’s fleet and/or public charging.

Deliver a detailed and comprehensive load profile at the Point-of-Service for each location based on recommended chargers, their anticipated use and expected future use.

2. Feasibility Assessments and Planning: Conduct site visits at prospective EV charging locations and to determine feasibility for charging infrastructure;

3. Site Surveys and Site Assessments: Conducting electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure site surveys, including for level 2 and level 3 DC fast charging equipment, to serve fleet workplace, and/or public charging;

4. Planning, Designing and Engineering - Engineering support design and construction prepare/review of design drawings, feedback on questions, cost estimates, review/feedback on construction issues, assessments;

5. Strategic roadmap development;

6. Total Cost of ownership (TCO) assessments;
